I think that the Itialians were attached to the sea because there basicly a trading civilization they were farmers but mostly traders because they were in the right place for trading in the center.
they stayed near the sea because they were settled in the trading prime. the mediterranean was the center of trading, and they were right in the middle of it! also, they couldn't trade on land because the alps were in the way.
The Italians were attached to the sea because they were at an ideal location, right in the middle of the Mediterranean, for trading. They could trade with Asia, Europe, and Africa. Italy's only land connection was cut off by the Alps.
The italian people probally wanted to be near the sea because they had really good skills at the sea and they could trade easily. The sea was the trading center, it would be easier to trade if you lived near there.
becuase they were probaly good with woodworking and made ships to expolring land and maybe they discovered riches from other countries and started to become pirates.
It's probably because the sea provided the most interaction and sequentially cultural diffusion with other civilizations. Remember, the mountains north of Italy blocked trade and contact with other civilizations on land.
I believe that the Italians remained attached to the sea since it was a easier way to travel. By land, they might not get there faster. Plus, if you were planning on traveling a larger distance, it would take more time to travel over land than on sea.
I think the Italians were attached to the sea beacause they were right by the sea and maybe they felt better with the fishing skills than farming skills. They could also trade easier right beside the sea.
The Italians remained close to the sea instead of the land because they were located in the center of the Mediterrean Sea and had 3 other countires surrouding them. If they traded with land it would be silly and alot harder. They were in the ideal place so of course they remained close to the water, and since they were surrounded by it!
