I don't think the gods would've chosen any of them to be king because when they where little, they where left to die on the fluding banks of the tiber. The gods wanted them DEAD. They wouldn't have chosen because they where defied in their godly wishes.

joe is a loser
I think the gods would have choosen by giving the brothers a series of tests. for example, a test to see how good thier leadership skills were, or a test to see how smart they were. who ever did better on the tests would become the king.

i think that there would be a compition of who wouls offer a greater sacrafice or a challenge of luck of like fliping a coin or who is more sucsesful
I think that to choose the king, they would give tests to the people who wanted to be the king. They also might have asked them a series of questions about certain things that you need to know to be the king.
I really don't believe that the gods choose any of them. I think of this false of how the gods had choosen who would be the king of the city.

I think the gods chose the king by observing for months on how the boys reacted to certain things and who he favored more.
