I think that the Persians didn't attack Italy because to get to Italy they would have to travel right past Greece, which they were never able to defeat.

I think the Persians didn't attack Italy because they knew Italy had a strong military so they probably wanted to conquer all of the other civilizations first so they would have a super-army to attack Italy.

I think the Persians didn't attack Italy, because they didn't want to risk Italy getting aid fromt the Greeks, because they could never defeat them.

I think the Persians didn't attack Italy because I think they knew that Italy was superior to them. They knew that if they couldn't conguer Greece, Italy would be a tough bet, since Italy had developed such a powerful reputation. The Persians may also have been trying to recover from their previous loss to the Greeks.

I don't think the Persians wanted to attack Rome because at first it was very small and not worth conquering. When it grew to a favorable size, the Roman army was not at all weak, and the fighting would be brutal with persians having no victory. Plu, Greece is a god wall of protection.

Italy had a strong military and the persians lost to the greeks. if they couldn't defeat the greeks, they probably thought that they couldn't beat them.
